Scenario
We begin in a dorm room with Willa, Maddie, and Nora. Willa is getting ready for a date and is visibly nervous. Maddie and Nora reassure her as Jaxon, Willa’s date, arrives.
We cut to The Proper Bar where Willa and Jaxon are having a great time. When Willa steps away from the table, Frank steps in to talk to Jaxon. Frank indicates to Jaxon that Willa is sexually promiscuous and that he shouldn’t have to “go through all the effort.”
Our male narrator freezes the action and indicates that this is inappropriate information for Frank to have shared. The narrator indicates that it’s up to an individual to decide how much information one wants from a partner. The narrator goes on to explain that there are clear guidelines for handling a partner’s sexual history: either full disclosure and a willingness to never use that information against your partner, or a decision to ignore that history as irrelevant. Our narrator wraps up by emphasizing that each of us should treat our partner’s sexual history with responsibility.
He unfreezes Frank and Jaxon as Willa returns to the table. Willa looks nervous as she sees Frank talking to Jaxon, as if she’s worried about what he might have told Jaxon. Frank leaves and Jaxon turns to Willa, a smile on his face. They sit down again, and Jaxon warmly restarts the conversation, with their date continuing on a positive note.
